Our Principal
Javier Ramos is thrilled to be serving as the principal of Cross Elementary School. Mr. Ramos is an exceptional educator and leader who has worked in Imperial Unified School District since 2010. During his career, Mr. Ramos has been a high school counselor and Athletic Director, worked at Imperial County Office of Education, and was principal at T.L. Waggoner for 9 years. Mr. Ramos excels at establishing strong relationships and supporting children, families, and staff.
Javier grew up in Holtville. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from San Diego State University. Upon graduation, he pursued a Master of Arts in Education. He earned an administrative credential through the University of Redlands Educational Leadership program.
Outside of school, Javier enjoys spending time with family and friends. His wife Patricia is a 3rd-grade teacher at Finley Elementary in Holtville. Together they love to travel and spend lots of time outside. He is currently the varsity baseball coach for Imperial High School.
Javier feels extremely grateful to work in service of the Imperial community ensuring an extraordinary school experience for all!
